Oooh fancy! I hope you made the most of the V&A, Science and Natural History Museum! South Ken is also home to my all time favourite bakery! (Hummingbird, if you ever stumbled upon it) Getting a job is easier said than done. Or at least, a semi-interesting job. Ideally a job in a foreign country.. to enable travelling whilst earning money. Do you plan on ever coming back to London?

It is super cold! Which part of London did you live in? And it seems to be that way with studying abroad! Several people I know have a lot of free time to just soak up their new country. Kind of jealous I didn't look into it properly. I really would have liked to have studied abroad in either North America or Scandinavia.

I did go swimming last summer! Fortunately I was able to borrow a wetsuit for most of my trips. It is pretty cold so you just have to keep swimming. I didn't think American accents varied very much but my cousins have Minnesotan twangs which I only noticed recently. And I love Southern accents. I'm currently in my university town, which is pretty much full of not-local-students with pretty average accents. How was your term abroad in London?

Currently, we're not experiencing great beach weather. But come summer, fingers crossed, I'll be out exploring new beaches and maybe summon enough courage to have a swim. I would say I had a pretty standard British accent. I don't think you could tell what region of the UK I grew up in. I definitely put on a posh phone voice! How about your accent? Is it distinctly Chicagoan? I was lucky enough to experience the architecture boat trip on my visit. Took soooo many photographs. But then again, I quite like architecture. Especially anything Bauhaus or Frank Lloyd Wright related. Quite a bit different from typically British styles. Tudor or Cotswold Stone is pretty common where I grew up.

I can't describe how weird our little house is in fear of making us seem pretty much insane. But it works! We get along. Falmouth is in the south west of England, in that little bit that sticks out at the bottom. So basically it couldn't take me any longer to go home home during the holidays. But the local Cornish accent is amazing! I describe it best as an odd pirate/ farmer accent. London is a pretty cool place. I'm going there for 2 days later this week so I'll have to cram in as much stuff as possible. But Chicago is equally amazing. I spent a couple days there in August and could easily go back for more. I've not been to a such a built up city with skyscrapers everywhere. I'd be happy to trade places!

I'm jealous of their housing situation. It's such a huge loft apartment! I think I have just as weird if not weirder housemates, but we lack the space and furniture. My general knowledge is awful when it comes to pub quizzes, so I doubt I'd get anywhere. I guess it's a drinking game though, so the point is to get a wee bit drunk! Also, you live in Chicago. Pretty jealous!

I have a desire to play True American, but the rules are a little bit mind-boggling and my knowledge of American-related topics could be better..

You can't forget about Manny/ Bill Bailey and his glorious hair! Greenwing is about a hospital with some just insane characters. It's also got Tamsin Greig in it.

What did you make of Sherlock season 3? I've recently been introduced to Black Books and Greenwing. Have you ever seen either of those British TV shows?
