Here quite a few people volunteer (not really for army, though; rather firebrigade, red cross (that's where I'm doing my social service), these things). I've never been to army - here it's compulsory but you can do social service instead so that's why I'm at red cross. I don't have anything against army in general but the Austrian one is pretty miserable, army service is all about sitting around and doing nothing so that was an easy choice.

No, no, it's a thing instead of joining army. Work for the red cross for nine months and you don't need to spend six months doing in the military, that's the way it is here. How does it look like in China?

I've never seen a Chinese person playing accordion, to be honest; it's really not very popular in your country! Who's your favourite folk singer? You must know, though, that accordion is suitable for many different styles - not just folk!

Sorry I was off! I have to do social service as a paramedical till September - I'm at work at the moment and we had to go 'cause the helicopter brought a patient we had to take to hospital, sorry 'bout that. : (
